The Fighting Cardinal Marching Band (FCMB)

On a crisp fall evening, the crowd in the football stadium stirs to the cadence of the approaching marching band. For the 2008-2009 school year, the Fighting Cardinal Marching Band will field 180 marchers. Jerome T. Osborne Sr. Stadium will be rocking with music!

These students start in the heat of summer, spending hours rehearsing the music and sets for the fall halftime show and competition show. With the recent success of the Mentor Football Cardinals, the FCMB has been marching in support of their team through heat, rain and even snow!

It's heartwarming to watch the faces of excited children as the FCMB marches by at the Memorial Day, It's Better in Mentor and Homecoming Parades. Parents lean down to tell their children that they, too, can be part of the mighty FCMB when they get older!
